As a principle sponsor of FIM World Women’s Motocross Champion Katherine Prumm, Motorcycle Trader and News is pleased to announce her signing to ride Yamaha for the 2008 racing season.
Katherine will contend this years world championship season as part of the Van Beers Yamaha team on a 2008 YZ250F. She is expected to ride for the Subway Yamaha team if competing in New Zealand, and from under the CDR Nokia Yamaha team tent for Australian events.
Prumm, "The move to Yamaha is really exciting for me. It will be a whole new bike and new team and I am really looking forward to being a part of the Yamaha environment. Yamaha is behind me 100% and I feel that they can give me the best chance of success in 2008.
Katherine starts the year on a high, after sweeping the womens class at the recent 47th Woodville MXGP, and importantly, taking a holeshot and 7th overall for the day in the hotly contested mens 250GP class.
