This is a rare model indeed, SP models were in fact in the same frame etc as the XS850 SH model. They were released for the Japanese and New Zealand market in 1979, from what I understand 750's were much cheaper to register in Japan than 850's.
I have restored this to as near as original as is possible; it has been well maintained and the engine was recently rebuilt by one of NZ's best Motorcycle mechanics. It has a recent paint job (Rose Red, not Mocho Red) and I have just put new coils and a complete wiring loom. I have some new carburettors, and have fitted new fuel taps it has a brand new sealed battery, the tyres front and rear are new and the brakes have recently been done. It has a currant WOF and Rego there are a heap of spares that will go with this bike if the buyer wishes to take them. The only reason for selling is to get a bigger bike and I don't have enough room in the shed.
Our latest correspondent, Aussie Isle of Mann TT racer Cam Donald took to the track recently on a near-identical McIntosh Suzuki to the one that dominated at Bathurst in ’82 and ’85. And the best news is you can order one for yourself!
